Erika Fernandez

Erika is an associate dentist at Irish & King Dental Practice, following completing her foundation year with us the previous year. She qualified from the University of Plymouth in 2025 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Prior to this, Erika completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree at the University of Melbourne, in Australia.

She is registered with the General Dental Council under number 327597. She is a member of the Devon Independent Practitioners Group (IPG). Erika regularly completes professional development to continue to improve her knowledge and clinical skills in the ever-changing field of dentistry.

Erika provides general, cosmetic and preventative dentistry for her patients primarily on the NHS. She also has certification to complete clear aligners with 32Co.

Erika has a friendly and approachable manner. She has a particular interest in family dentistry and sees the value in oral health education for patients of all ages to build a good foundation in looking after themselves to achieve better dental outcomes. She prides herself on ensuring patients are well-informed of all the treatment options, keeping their best interests at the centre of the treatment plan.

Erika’s passion for dentistry has brought her to the South West of England from Australia. After completing her studies in Plymouth, she has moved to Exeter to work as a dentist. She enjoys trying all the local cafes and restaurants in the area. Outside of dentistry, Erika spends her time watching movies with her cat Garf for company, sea swimming, tennis and reading.
