Aftercare

After having a tooth removed, you should follow some steps to help your mouth heal and prevent infection. Some of the common tips are:

  • Avoid mouthwash, hot food and drinks, smoking, alcohol and strenuous activity for the first 24 hours.
  • Rinse gently with warm salt water four times a day, especially after meals.
  • Eat soft and healthy foods and drink plenty of liquids.
  • Brush your teeth gently, but avoid the extraction site.
  • Take painkillers and antibiotics as prescribed by your dentist.

Aftercare and follow-up appointments if needed are explained during your treatment. If you have any concerns please contact us directly and our team will be happy to help.
